24 tattoos!
When I set out on my conservation initiative ‘giving my right arm‘; the plan was to have ten birds tattooed onto my right arm (hence the name of my fundraising initiative). As regular readers of this website will know, the original plan soon grew to cover both arms and hands with a total of twenty iconic Turkish birds.
The following link gives more details on my projects: http://www.theinkednaturalist.co.uk/tattoos-walking-for-wildlife-the-full-story/
Yesterday I was back at the mighty Immortal Art Studio to have the last two birds tattooed onto my right arm. The two birds (as voted for my visitors to this website) were Krüper’s Nuthatch and Desert Finch. These birds take the total up to a more than expected twenty-four birds! Richard Batey did another incredible job with these tattoos. The images don’t do them justice; but you get the idea!

Just two more sittings left and for background etc and this part of my project will be complete! Don’t forget you can donate to the project here:

Just to reiterate that all donations made go to Doğa Derneği and Birdlife International; all the tattoos are being paid for by me!
Huge thanks to Immortal Art Studio for their continuing support of my project (another £30 donated after this one and half hour session) !
