Moths again!

Sunday nights moth trap contents were very poor, with only three species of three moths. However one of these moths was new a new record for my garden,

Last nights moth trappings were far more substantial; here is the full list:

Beautiful Golden Y 3

Dark Arches ab aethiops 1

Chrysoteuchia culmella 1

 

Out of these 21 species Latticed Heath, Clouded Border and Chrysoteuchia culmella  were new records for my garden.

Dark Arches of the aberrant form aethiops was also a nice interesting record.

However, the fantastically camouflaged Silver Birch-like Buff-tip were the stars by far!
