My latest ink!
After a great days birding yesterday I was booked in at the mighty Immortal Art Studio for another tattoo session. The choice of tattoo for this session was the exquisite Rüppell’s Warbler. For more info on this enigmatic species see my previous post: http://www.theinkednaturalist.co.uk/so-who-was-ruppell-anyway/
Just to recap; this tattoos session was part of my fundraising project ‘giving my right arm’. I am getting tattooed with at least twenty species of iconic Turkish birds to raise awareness of the biodiversity and humanitarian disaster currently being allowed to continue in Turkey. I am also raising funds to help support Doğa Derneği; (the Birdlife International partner in Turkey). I should clarify that all money raised will be going to help Doğa Derneği; and all tattoo work is being paid for by me. Okay so back to some pain, ink and the immense talent of tattoo artist Richard Batey! Richard has done an amazing job with the Rüppell’s Warbler. my right arm is continuing to look really special.

In addition to the warber, I also had some more Exctinction Symbols engraved onto my fingers (owe ouch owe)!

I am looking forward to my next session in a few weeks time; Wallcreeper could be the next addition!
